The super typhoon Lawin just struck the Philippines and casualties and damage are sure to be recorded from this devastating disaster. The excellent thing however is that the government already learned their lesson regarding funds transfers.

Now, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has learned their lesson before and has now reserved a total of 1.2 Billion Ph or a total of ($25 million) to be prepared for release for the local governments affected by the disaster.

And the best thing is that they didn’t wait before the typhoon leaves the country before they pack the relief goods. They already packed the goods even before the typhoon came into being.

The packing center is organized to ensure efficiency in the work and to pack as many goods as possible. In the video, we can see the packers standing and not just sitting while the process of packing the goods is ongoing.
