Some patients have been asked to pay down payments before any operation or surgery is started. To some it may be possible, however to others it’s not.
However, thank you to the president of the Philippines and the initiative actions of several hospitals this system is slowly changing.
In Cebu, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center has agreed with the public and has released a memo concerning this topic. Services from the start of being admitted will be charged to the bill.
It’s a small and a huge step at the same time to help fellow citizens, and save lives. Kudos to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
