Sisters Mylene, Irene, Celina, and Almira gave it their all during the X-Factor UK’s quarter-finals. This week’s theme, is Jukebox Week and the quartet gave what Simon Cowell repeatedly asked for in the past days—a taste of their individual talents. The Cercado sisters delivered an outstanding rendition of Jackson 5’s I’ll Be There. Celina began with a soothing introduction and the rest of the Cercados worked their way to build the momentum. Remarkably, Almira did a flawless whistle which thoroughly impressed Cowell. “It’s great to see a completely different side of you and get you to do an emotional song to hear all singing individually. And that high note, there’s gonna be like dolphins arriving in Wembly,” Nick Grimshaw lauded.
Pleased, Judge Rita Ora let out a squeak in an attempt to imitate Almira’s whistle. “What I love with that performance is the relationship you have with the record “I’ll be There”. It’s like Jackson 5. It’s like you guys are related. They were related. And I think only the people that have connection to each other can sing a record like that and do it justice,” she said.
Of course, 4th Impact would not pass up the chance to bring the heat on stage in every live show performance. For their second act, they did a Fancy-Rich Girl mash up. Dressed in vibrant hues, the ladies were boxed inside doll cases while they sang Iggy Azalea’s hit. After which, they proceeded to Gwen Stefani’s dancehall track. All in all it was a night to remember.
